Idealism vs. Reality 101

We often tend to dream about perfection and choose to ignore the reality of our lives. We all allow our dreams, fantasies and our imagination to get in our way. It distorts our image of what is true in life. Idealism: the cherishing or pursuit of high or noble principles, purposes, and goals. Reality: the resemblance to what is real and true in life. These are two opposite cases living together in one world. Idealism vs. reality is common issue that is able to affect anyone. In this blog, I will be discussing idealism vs. reality and how it takes a toll on two simple men's lives in the novel, " Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck. I will take you step by step through the lives of George and Lennie, two idealists facing the harsh reality of homelessness, economic poverty, and emotional and psychological corruption. All thoughts, feelings and opinions that I acquire will be shared with you.  Idealism vs. Reality 101 is just the beginning, so stay tuned and keep reading fellow bloggers!

  1. "To Kill A Mockingbird" is a better great depression story that deals with prejudice. i don't care about idealism vs. reality.
